As believers are increasingly equipped for the work of service we have seen ministry work taking place at an unprecedented level. Each day of the week we see people gathering at our building for prayer, worship, study, fellowship and service. It is amazing to see how much our building is used every day, seven days a week, nearly 365 days a year. The ministry often begins before the sun comes up and extends until well after it goes down. This is certainly a testimony to the grace of God and the faithfulness of His people.
Over the years we have grown and entered into new ministry work and our building has seen many adaptations, in addition to much wear and tear. As we announced in the fall of 2013, we have embarked on a discovery process to see how we can bring our facilities into line with where we envision ministry to be going over the next decade.
Since that time, we have been working with Vessel Architecture to analyze our space needs and provide us with options. Our Master Plan has broken down into two phases to improve the practical function and aesthetic feel of our facility. During the summer of 2015, we were able to complete Phase I of the master plan which was the complete renovation of the Worship Center.
The Lord has continued to grow our church by over 18% in the last two years and we now need to address the next phase of the Master Plan. Here are a few of the most significant highlights.
- Addition of two classrooms for teaching God's Word
- Expanded and secure nursery for growing demographic of our church
- Multi-use lobby for ministry events & fellowship space for members and new guests
- Lobby provides expanded space to accomodate Ascend growth
- Noise reduction in Worship Center from the lobby
- Additional storage and workroom
