This is an amazing study as we see Peter, a man of faith and flaws, and an eyewitness to the life of Christ, challenge us to look beyond our current circumstances to a future inheritance. In 1 Peter he shares concerns about the big picture issues for the early believers, reminding them of the hope they have in Christ.  Peter describes our true identity as believers and points us to humility and submission.

Jen Wilkin, our author, is a wife, mom to four, and an advocate for women to love God with their minds through the faithful study of His Word.  She is a speaker, writer and teacher of the Bible.

Our study will begin on Friday, September 18th, and there will be a few options for you to participate:

  1. The first way to participate in this study is on site at NCC every Friday morning at 9:30 am.  This option will require us to follow the county mandates of wearing masks (throughout the morning), and social distancing in our various groups.  We must do this in order for NCC to stay in compliance with the county government.  Whatever you think about wearing masks, please put that aside and come together in unity as we honor the mandate from our church and study God's Word.  There will be a children's program and a homeschool room as we want to accommodate our moms that have children that are begin educated at home.  You will be able to sign up your children when you register for class.
  2. The second option for participation will be a separate zoom class that will also meet on Friday mornings at 9:30 am.  This class will review the lesson each week and pray together.  Viewing of the DVD lesson will be done independently.

Please sign up here and you will be able to indicate which way you will be attending the class!  We are hoping this will allow all women who want to participate in a Bible study the ability to do so whether it be from home or at the church.  We are really excited about being able to provide this flexibility to meet your needs during this time of COVID.

You will need to order your own book for the study.  You may get it at Amazon, Lifeway or Christianbook.  If you are able, we would also ask that you consider a $5-10 contribution to our childcare costs.
